Established in 1976 by Elhamy El Zayat, Emeco heralded Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) travel in the Egyptian travel market. It has since expanded to become the premier travel agency and Destination Management Company in Egypt. Emeco Group consists of numerous subsidiaries: Emeco Travel, Emeco Travel Services, Emeco Nile Cruises, Emeco Transportation and Alpha Airline Agencies. Each company carries a separate corporate identity and offers a variety of comprehensive travel services to corporate, group and individual travelers.
Emeco Travel is the General Sales Agent (GSA) for a number of major airlines, including American Airlines, Air Malta, Korean Air, Malev Hungarian Airlines, South African Airways and TAP Portugal. Alpha Airline Agencies is the GSA for Cathay Pacific Airways.
Emeco Travel Services, founded in 1992, is a licensed member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The recently launched TI-YI and TU-YA cruisers are owned by Emeco Floating Hotels and Emeco Nile Cruises respectively.
Emeco Transportation, founded in 2004, owns and operates a luxurious air conditioned fleet with a vehicle capacity ranging from 8 to 50 passengers. The company has recently served the transport needs of firms as large as Vodafone and Smart Village, and looks forward to establishing a long – term Employee Transport initiative in the near future.
