Elhamy ElZayat

Elhamy ElZayat is widely held to be one of the most prominent voices and influential characters in contemporary Egyptian society. Founding Emeco Travel over thirty years ago, ElZayat paved the road to success by forming the Emeco Group Empire which consists of subsidiaries in the domains of travel, investment, floating hotels and transport – Emeco Travel being the flagship of the group.

Currently the Chairman and CEO of some eight of Egypt’s most prosperous companies, ElZayat has invariably embraced several additional responsibilities over the years. Such duties include serving as New Zealand’s Honorary Consul General in Egypt (1999-2006) and as Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Federation (2002-2005), Chairman of the Egyptian Travel Agents Association (1996-2002) and Chairman of Euromic (1986-1989/1992-1998). In addition to heading numerous committees throughout the years, ElZayat is also an active board member with many associations including the Egyptian Tourist Authority and the Supreme Tourism Council. ElZayat has frequently been honored with awards including IMEX Academy Award 2005 (in Incentive Travel) and World Peace through Tourism in 1997.

ElZayat chose to manifest his love for Egypt in his career, preserving its heritage and promoting tourism to the country. A strong believer in the power of combined efforts, his hard work, persistence, prudence and constant pursuit of improvement have enabled him to excel in the field of Tourism, and his achievements clearly reflect this undying devotion to his homeland.

ElZayat gives frequent lectures related to tourism, Ancient Egyptian history, Human Resources Development in the Egyptian tourism industry, among other subjects.


Karim El Minabawy
President

Karim El Minabawy is the President of Emeco Travel and has worked for the company for over 25 years when he joined as a Planning and Marketing Executive. Prior to joining Emeco Travel, Mr. El Minabawy traveled the world working for Hilton Hotels with postings in Greece and Switzerland. He is a member of several associations including the Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE), and the International Conference and Convention Association. Mr. El Minabawy has also attended professional training courses focusing on effective public relations, marketing strategies, negotiation skills, management skills, and finance. He earned his BA from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Management from Helwan University and an Incentive Diploma from SITE.


William A. Hamad
President Airlines Division

William A. Hamad is President of the Airlines Division of Emeco Travel Services, a position he has held for over 16 years. Prior to joining Emeco Travel Services, Mr. Hamad worked for 40 years for Pan American World Airways moving up the ranks from a reservation agent to Vice President of Europe, Middle East and India. He has successfully completed a variety of Pan Am professional courses from reservations to upper management. Mr. Hamad earned his GCE Diploma from London University and BA from the American University in Beirut.


Nabil Youssef

Nabil Youssef is the President of Emeco Travel Services , a position he has held since 2004. Mr. Youssef has over 35 years experience in the tourism industry with various companies primarily in managerial positions such as Planning Manager, Director of Sales and Travel and Group Vice President and Travel Managing Director. He received his B.Sc. in Physiology and Medical Science from Ain Shams University and has earned several professional certificates including Certificate of Achievement in Data Processing Management from CICS, Certificate of Achievement in Conference Management from the Philipines Academy, and Certificate of Achievement in Incentive Travel Management from SITE University.


Mohamed Badr

Mohamed Badr is the Vice President, Finance of Emeco Travel , a position he has held for over 15 years during his 25 year career with Emeco Travel. Mr. Badr has an extensive background in finance having worked in the industry for nearly 55 years. Mr. Badr received his B.Sc in Commerce from Ain Shams University.


Samer Habib

Samer Magdi Habib is the Vice President of Emeco Travel Services. Mr. Habib has over 11 years of experience with Emeco Travel having held a number of managerial positions including American Airlines Sales Manager Egypt and Manager of the Airlines Division. He has successfully completed several professional courses around the world such as international reservations sales training in Dallas, Texas; one world training course with American Airlines in the UK; and building a winning sales team in France. Mr. Habib received a BA in accounting from Cairo University and an MBA from Ecole Supérieure Libre Des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées in Paris, France.


Hamdy Ahmed

Hamdy Ahmed Ibrahim is Director, HR and Administration Department of Emeco Group, a position he has held since 2003. Mr. Hamdy Ahmed has over 25 years experience in human resources and administration having held positions with the Administrative Control Authority and as Director of HR for Egyptian Distribution Group. He also had a nearly 10 year career in the military services, having reached the rank of Captain with the Military Police Unit. Mr. Ahmed earned a B.Sc. in Military Science in 1976 and a B.Sc. in Business Administration in 1988.

Karim A. Aly is Assistant Vice President, Incentive Department of Emeco Travel and has been part of the Emeco Travel team for nearly 20 years, having worked his way up the ranks from a marketing executive. Mr. Aly has successfully completed a number of professional training courses including an executive development program, and globalizing marketing and management. He earned a Tourism Diploma from the American University in Cairo.


Hisham Rifaat

Hisham Rifaat is Assistant Vice President, Leisure Inbound of Emeco Travel and has been part of the Emeco Travel team for nearly 25 years. During his career with Emeco Travel, Mr. Rifaat has held a number of positions including Operation Manager, Assistant Tourism Manager, Inbound Tourism Manager and Director Leisure Tourism. He earned his BA in Mass Communications from Cairo University.


Abdel Ghani Hammad

Abdel Ghani Hammad is Acting Branches Director of Emeco Travel, a position he has held since 2004. Mr. Hammad has worked for Emeco Travel for nearly 20 years and has vast experience in branch management having managed the Luxor branch as well as serving as Director of the Upper Egypt branches. Mr. Hammad received his BA from Ain Shams University and Tour Guide Diploma from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Helwan University.


Adel Abu Shawareb

Adel Abu El Shawareb is the Director, Finance Department of Emeco Group , a position he has held since 2000. Mr. El Shawareb has over 20 years experience in the finance industry holding positions ranging from Accountant to Inventory & Letters of Credit Section Chief to Accounts Manager. Farouk Abdel Rehim is the Vice President, Public and Government Relations of Emeco Travel , a position he has held for over 25 years. Mr. Rehim worked for 35 years with the Egyptian Police Authority, specifically in public and state security. He has attended a variety of professional training courses in administration and public relations as well as technical courses related to police activities. Mr. Rehim earned his B.Sc of Law from Ain Shams University, a Diploma from the Egyptian Police Academy and a Diploma from the National Center for Social and Criminal Sciences.


Maged Shenouda

Maged Mounir Shenouda is Executive Vice President, Airline Division of Emeco Travel Services, a position he has held since 2008. Mr. Shenouda has extensive experience in the tourism and travel industry having worked for over 30 years with Austrian Airlines, holding positions such as Country Manager Egypt and Regional Country Manager – Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Sudan. He has completed numerous training courses covering sales and marketing techniques, leadership and team building training, and IATA emergency response training. Mr. Shenouda earned his BA in Commerce from Cairo University.
